Formación

  • 8+ years working in the engineering field.
  • 6+ years of experience in sales, project development, applications engineering or related role.
  • 2+ years of experience in analyzing utility solar project economics.

Overview

As the Senior Field Applications Engineer you will have a highly visible role within the business leading the technical sales of our DuraTrack HZ, Ominitrack and H250 Tracker, product configuration and project design services for your assigned market. This involves managing the scope of services and associated processes to deliver industry-leading technical support to a rapidly growing market. In this unique role, you’ll need to combine the technical expertise of an engineer with the customer service mindset of a business development manager.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for key customers during the pre-sales process
  • Develop expert-level technical knowledge of Array’s product offering and their corresponding application
  • Identify independent engineers in the region and empower them to differentiate our products over competition
  • Drive the validation of ARRAY’s product portfolio with strategic customers
  • Create and deliver technical presentations for customer meetings
  • Champion product features and enhancements and process improvements to increase commercial success
  • Determine technical project design requirements. Revision and interpretation of technical documentation to establish site specific design requirements
  • Design the tracker configuration to meet customer requirements and coordinate the different project-specific design requirements inside the department
  • Build strong technical relationships with customer’s engineering leadership
  • Collaborate with customers to identify technical project requirements in RFPs
  • Analyze and cost optimize the tracker design of the projects
  • Address escalated issues, technical or otherwise, from others in the Applications Engineering team
  • Support development and evaluation of tools and software applications used by the Applications Engineering Group
  • Provide support to contract activities to ensure design requirements have been met
  • Provide on-site customer pre-sales engineering support
  • Provide input to product feature enhancements and process improvements
  • Work with a geographically dispersed sales team
  • May require occasional evening and weekend hours
  • May require occasional national and international travels
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, civil or aeronautical engineering
  • 8+ years working in the engineering field
  • 6+ years of experience in sales, project development, applications engineering or related role
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills
  • 4+ years’ experience using mechanical and structural systems
  • 4+ years of experience supporting a national market
  • 2+ years of working experience in the following: Understanding competitive mounting products in utility solar and articulating differences in technology
  • Analyzing utility solar project economics including plant production, CAPEX, OPEX, LCOE
  • Navigating the technical requirements of project development, construction, and plant operation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in solar, renewables, or power generation equipment
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, interpersonal and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team across multiple organizations
  • Ability to thrive within a fast paced, smaller company environment
