A global professional services network is seeking a Senior Accountant in Barcelona. This role involves direct client interaction, preparation and analysis of accounting, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 5 years of experience, and strong communication skills in English. Formación

• 5 years of working experience in accounting.

Your mission

• Direct interaction with the different assigned clients (whatever their sector and size)
• Preparation, analysis, and review of the clients’ general accounting (suppliers, clients, accounting entries, provisions, prepayments, banks, fixed assets)
• Preparation of reporting, analytical accounting, treasury forecasts, as well as any additional information requested by the client
• Preparation of the necessary documentation and information to compile and present the recurrent obligations of the clients
• Support the preparation of annual accounts and official books
• Support the automation, standardization, and improvement of internal accounting processes
• Support in any of the functional areas defined in the department, depending on their skills
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and accounting assistants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
• Assist in the training and development of team members, ensuring their continuous professional growth.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) would be valued.
• 5 years of working experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with IFRS and / or GAAP will be valued
• Good oral and written communication in English (B2 or higher)
• Interest to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize workload and ability to work with strict reporting deadlines
