With 1,000 colleagues across 70 countries, we require an HR function that thinks and acts globally. We're looking for three regional leads that will report to our Global Head of People to help build our company during continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our HR function.

You will lead the HR teams in the Americas or EMEA, providing precise, compliant, and scalable HR operations, advising on HR issues across the employee lifecycle, and partnering with senior regional leadership. An analytical approach, keen attention to detail, and the ability to interpret data trends are essential.

What your day will look like
  1. Lead and scale Canonical's regional HR team (1-4 direct reports, depending on region)
  2. Ensure precise and compliant HR operations in a timely manner
  3. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Workplace Engineering teams to create integrated processes
  4. Manage HR processes such as talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, and engagement initiatives
  5. Partner with senior managers on performance management, organizational design, and rewards
  6. Coach and advise managers on employee relations issues across countries
  7. Support training and development programs
  8. Establish trusted regional partnerships with the business
  9. Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  10. Design policies and lead global HR projects
  11. Present HR practices at Canonical events
What we are looking for in you
  • Experience leading HR initiatives across regions within a tech company (Americas or EMEA)
  • Strong business partnering skills with senior stakeholders
  • Hands-on involvement in daily HR routines
  • Experience working in a remote-first organization
  • Ability to leverage data for decision-making
  • Knowledge of HR practices and employment law in EMEA or Americas
  • Fluent in business English
  • Self-motivated, organized, accurate, confident, authentic, results-oriented, open-minded, enthusiastic, energetic

Willing to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
