A global food and beverage company is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager in Herrera del Duque, Spain. The role involves leading quality assurance efforts to ensure compliance and food safety across the factory. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of operational experience, a strong background in quality management, and leadership skills. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Manufacturing Quality Assurance

Main Purpose of the Position

The primary objective is to ensure that the Nestl Quality Management System is consistently implemented across the factory and all units within its value chain. This function serves as the guardian of food safety and compliance including the management of water resources. Additionally it challenges all functions to drive Nestl Continuous Excellence in the pursuit of zero defects which is essential for maintaining consumer trust and preference.

Main Functions
  • Develop and foster competencies quality awareness and a commitment to zero defects within the factory.
  • Manage and uphold the Nestl Quality Management System in accordance with the Waters Operational Standards (WOS).
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the factory laboratory prioritizing personnel safety equipment availability and technician training. Maintain adequate analytical capabilities for required analyses and effective monitoring of rapid methods.
  • Promote adherence to good hygienic practices throughout the factory and oversee the implementation and supervision of the pest management program.
  • Manage the internal auditing program to assess the performance of the quality system report its effectiveness to management and recommend actions for improvement. Participate in supplier auditing schemes as needed.
  • Monitor key quality parameters using statistical process control to facilitate structured root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement in the pursuit of zero defects. Lead the factorys Management Review of Quality (MRQ).
  • Advocate for quality awareness across the organization and assist in providing quality training for factory personnel and contractors including initial training quality awareness hygiene training and training for quality staff.
  • Ensure full compliance with product standards and effective management of water resources.
What will make you successful

Academic Experience: University graduate or equivalent (preferred microbiology chemistry or food science)

Operational Experience (more than 4 years): Demonstrated capability to lead a group e.g : Group leader in a factory : Deputy QA Quality Systems Hygienist; or QA specialist in a PTC or R&D Centre NRC CO-QM

Business Experience:

Management exposure across several functions

Different factory and/or market positions environments (Centre Region Market Expatriation Mission Special Projects)

Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams

Languages: Spanish Fluent, English Fluent
