The Data team focuses primarily on data ingestion and contributes to the broader big data initiative. The QA engineer will be part of both the data ingestion and QA squads, ensuring seamless onboarding of new providers and monitoring the ingestion pipeline, primarily for Bigdata.com.
You are a seasoned Quality Assurance Automation Engineer with an interest in the Cloud. You have previously been involved in designing and developing test strategies and test cases. You have all the technical skills for implementing and maintaining automated tests, a proven track record in software automation projects and the ability to understand complex software solutions. You have experience in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements gathering, designing CI/CD pipelines, integration testing, monitoring, and supporting production systems.
The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement. European Union's legal working status is required.
First month
The onboarding process starts. You will be having scheduled meetings with the main stakeholders of the different teams in order to get an overall understanding about all company products and specifically focused on the projects you will be working on. You will start participating in the scrum ceremonies and also reviewing the QA processes and the stack of tools.
After 2 months
Now you are able to start contributing to the existing test automation strategy and collaborating in the QA tasks on a daily basis. Since now you have the overall view of the products, you are able to propose new initiatives and new testing strategies and start working on them.
3 months in
Now you are fully aware of all the company products and the main testing frameworks in place and you have the know-how to work with them. You became a key member of the team and you are contributing in a successful way to the different development phases. You are creating comprehensive test automation suites, frameworks, validation jobs and reports on a daily basis.
