Formación

Overview

I'm looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a next generation Cyber Security startup based in Barcelona. You do not need Cyber Security experience to apply. They are building mission critical systems that protect national interests across Europe. There is a once-a-week on-site requirement.

Product and Role

They're launching a brand new product line, a critical software that powers real-time monitoring, telemetry collection, and remote execution across distributed servers. You\'ll be the technical anchor, taking this early stage product from prototype to production scale, owning architecture decisions, and building clean, highly optimized Python code that runs efficiently on servers while handling OS-level metrics, remote commands, and robust failure modes.

No big data pipelines here, just a pure software engineering focus, for example:

• Asyncio/non-blocking I/O, RESTful APIs for polling/monitoring
• PostgreSQL, Docker/Kubernetes deployment
• Event-driven architectures that scale reliably

Team and Environment

It's a small, high energy team with real autonomy, where every line of code drives tangible innovation and growth. English fluency is a must for international collaboration.

Qualifications

• Senior level Python engineering expertise (strong async, performance optimization, distributed systems)
• Experience building scalable backend agents/telemetry/monitoring tools is a big advantage but not essential
• Full stack comfort (Python + JS/TS), solid fundamentals, and proactive teamwork
