Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Internal Auditor to join their team in Madrid. This pivotal role involves conducting comprehensive financial and operational audits to ensure the integrity and efficiency of their operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing their audit processes and contributing to the strategic goals of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan, execute, and report on financial and operational audits across various departments.
• Evaluate internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective action plans.
• Monitor and track the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in internal auditing.

Key Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
• Expectation : 3-8 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within a global industrial company.
• Strong knowledge of financial and operational audit processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
