Overview

Our client is a well-funded crypto/fintech company building a next-generation trading platform designed for sophisticated onchain traders. Backed by top-tier VCs and industry leaders, they’re creating a Bloomberg Terminal–style interface for crypto markets, enabling advanced strategies such as arbitrage, derivatives, and multi-exchange execution. They previously processed $70M+ in volume and helped secure an $18M raise. They are rolling out an MVP imminently and seek a Senior Product Manager to own this from the ground up. You’ll be the only dedicated Product Manager, partnering closely with the CEO and CTO to shape the company’s direction and establish product-market fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead structured user research, running 20+ interviews in the first month with sophisticated traders.
• Aggregate insights with leadership to prioritise development and define the roadmap.
• Convert user feedback into actionable engineering plans and lead standups, planning, and retros with the CTO.
• Run build–measure–learn loops, iterating quickly on the MVP with constant user feedback.
• Own product discovery and engineering planning end-to-end.
• Drive the strategy to define and dominate the first niche in the onchain trading ecosystem.

What Success Looks Like

• You’re speaking to traders daily and shipping improvements weekly.
• Engineers are energised by your insights and aligned with product priorities.
• Within 90 days, the company has a clear thesis on its first market niche.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of PM experience, with at least 2 years in 0→1 product discovery.
• Deep knowledge of financial products (spot, futures, yield, options, perps). You can speak the language of traders and understand their priorities.
• Proven track record of finding product-market fit in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Excellence in user research, designing, executing, and synthesising insights into actionable experiments.
• Based in the US or Europe (with overlap to New York working hours).

Ideal Background

• Former trader, quant, or financial analyst who moved into product, OR a PM with strong fintech/trading platform experience.
• Comfortable working with highly sophisticated finance professionals.
• Doesn’t need to be technical, but can partner closely with engineers.
• Advanced fintech or quant fund experience is highly valuable; crypto/DeFi familiarity is a plus but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary $160k–$180k
