Responsibilities
- Design and implement cutting-edge LLM-based solutions, including fine-tuning transformer models, LLM workflows, agents, and integrating generative AI into real-world applications.
- Develop and benchmark Agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, enabling autonomous reasoning, memory handling, and efficient knowledge retrieval.
- Apply classical ML techniques (regression, classification, clustering, feature engineering) and modern Deep Learning approaches (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, GNNs) to develop models for time series forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance, among others.
- Conduct research and experimentation with the latest advancements in NLP, ML, and generative AI, staying ahead of the curve in interpretability, efficiency, and responsible AI.
- Lifecycle maintenance and continuous improvement of deployed ML and RAG solutions in production environments, ensuring ongoing efficiency and quality.
- Apply state-of-the-art AI techniques to projects in knowledge extraction, document understanding, multimodal AI, and AI-driven content generation.
- Contribute to AI research and innovation, publishing findings and collaborating with the broader AI / ML community.
- Lead and collaborate on AI-driven projects, working within multidisciplinary teams to develop impactful, scalable, and responsible AI solutions.

Requirements
PhD is a requirement.
Educational background: ML, AI, NLP, Computer Science, or related fields (Physics, Mathematics, Engineering).
Experience and other requirements :
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in LLM development and ML model design. Passion for AI, NLP, and LLMs. Solid knowledge of classical ML algorithms (SVMs, Random Forests, XGBoost, clustering, dimensionality reduction) and Deep Learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, GNNs, Autoencoders). Experience with time series analysis and forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet, RNN/LSTM/Transformer-based models). Proficiency in Python and experience with ML/NLP libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI API, Langchain, Sentence Transformers. Open-minded and multidisciplinary: eager to explore new applications of AI. Dynamic communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey complex ideas and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Willingness to travel when needed to engage with clients, partners, and researchers worldwide. Languages: English. Desirable Catalan and/or Spanish.
