OKU Ibiza is a stunning retreat that blends contemporary design, immersive dining, and a vibrant social atmosphere. As a Pastry Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in leading your pastry section and crafting delightful and memorable dessert experiences for our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
  1. Lead and manage the pastry section, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
  2. Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to OKU's high standards and recipes.
  3. Create and develop new and innovative dessert offerings, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized pastry station, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  5. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of pastry ingredients and supplies.
  6. Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless service and presentation of desserts.
  7. Train and mentor junior pastry staff.
  8. Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
  9. Ensure consistency in quality and presentation of all pastry items.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  1. Passion for pastry and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences, representing the OKU philosophy.
  2. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or senior pastry cook in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or bakery.
  3. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking principles.
  4. Creativity and attention to detail in pastry preparation and presentation.
  5. Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  8. Fluency in English or Spanish (additional languages are a plus).
