A leading health research institute in Barcelona is seeking a registered nurse to manage activities related to a dengue travel risk project. The successful candidate will collect clinical data, perform venipunctures, and maintain study documentation. Candidates must have a nursing license and at least one year of clinical experience. Formación

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

ISGlobal is seeking a nurse who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project Dengue Travel Risk. The overall project goal is to determine the incidence of asymptomatic dengue infections in travelers and develop predictive algorithms based on machine learning, to mitigate the risk of introduction of dengue in non-endemic areas where Aedes albopictus has been established.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collecting epidemiological and clinical data for and completing Case Report Forms (CRFs)
  • Venipuncture and collection of study samples
  • Scheduling participants’ follow-up visits
  • Data entry into the study database.

SKILLS

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
  • Registered Nurse and valid license to practice nursing in the country.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital, primary care, or outpatient setting.

Prior experience in:

  • Venipuncture and blood extraction
  • Patient recruitment and informed consent processes for clinical research is highly desirable
  • Travel medicine, infectious diseases, or tropical medicine is highly desirable
  • Data entry in previous studies is desirable
LANGUAGE LEVEL
  • Proficiency in Catalan, English, and Spanish.
CONDITIONS
  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Starting date: 07/01/2026
  • Contract Type: Part time (15 hours/week). From 11:30h to 14:30h (Monday to Friday)
  • Salary: Predoc B (24.933€ gross annual)

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.

If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.

In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
