Vous serez responsable de la conception et de la mise à l'échelle de l'infrastructure d'observabilité tout en utilisant vos compétences en Linux/Unix et en automatisation. Ce poste nécessite plus de 3 ans d'expérience dans des environnements serveur, SRE ou DevOps. Formación

• Diplôme de Bachelor en Informatique, Ingénierie ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.
• Plus de 3 ans d'expérience en opérations réseau, SRE ou DevOps.
• Maîtrise approfondie de Linux/Unix et de l'automatisation (Python, Bash ou Ansible).
• Bonne compréhension des technologies de connectivité (niveau CCNA ou expérience équivalente).
• Expérience pratique avec des plateformes d'observabilité modernes.

Responsabilidades

• Concevoir et mettre à l'échelle notre infrastructure d'observabilité.
• Développer et maintenir des méthodes d'extraction de données réseau.
• Maintenir l'infrastructure de surveillance et intégrer des outils divers.
• Évaluer de nouvelles solutions de surveillance et outils de visualisation.
• Utiliser les données de surveillance pour identifier les problèmes de performance.

La position

As a Network Observability Engineer, you won’t just be building dashboards for network engineers; you will be architecting the systems that ensure our global teams can collaborate on life‑saving medicine without interruption.

You will join the Network Management Services team, a global group of specialized engineers sitting at the heart of Roche’s infrastructure strategy. Your work directly influences how our global network is designed, monitored, and optimized. At Roche, observability isn't an afterthought; it is a strategic requirement that transforms raw data into the operational intelligence we need to stay ahead.

Your daily tasks:

• Architecture & Scaling: Design and scale our observability stack (LogicMonitor, ThousandEyes, LiveNX) to provide real‑time insights across a massive global footprint.
• Data Acquisition & Integration: Develop and maintain methods for extracting network data using various mechanisms, including SNMP, APIs, and network telemetry/streaming data.
• System Administration & Tooling: Utilize Linux and system administration knowledge to maintain monitoring infrastructure and integrate various open‑source and commercial tools.
• Innovate & Prototype: Evaluate new monitoring solutions and open‑source visualization tools (e.g., Grafana) to enhance our observability stack and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Use monitoring data to identify network performance issues, bottlenecks, and anomalies to reduce Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) and prevent future incidents.

What you bring:

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• You bring over 3 years of experience in Network Operations, SRE, or DevOps environments.
• You have deep proficiency in Linux/Unix and automation (Python, Bash, or Ansible).
• You have a solid understanding of connectivity technologies (CCNA level or equivalent experience).
• You have hands‑on experience with modern observability platforms and the ability to turn raw telemetry into actionable insights.
• You are experienced with API‑based data collection and integrating disparate data sources into unified dashboards.
