We are looking for an experienced and innovative IDP Lead to strengthen our Intelligent Automation practice. In this role, based in Barcelona, you will design, architect, and deliver advanced Intelligent Document Processing solutions that leverage AI/ML, OCR, NLP, and automation technologies to transform data into actionable insights.

The Lead Intelligent Automation Engineer will be a key member of our Delivery Team, with a specific focus on leveraging IDP (AI/ML, OCR, NLP) practices and technologies to create innovative solutions for our clients. As anLead in Intelligent Automation, you will lead workflow ideation and delivery that streamline business processes, increase efficiency, and enable digital transformation across a wide array of industries.

What You Will Champion and Own

• Lead the end-to‑end delivery of IDP initiatives, including discovery, solution design, prototyping, implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization.
• Architect IDP solutions using leading platforms (e.g., ABBYY, UiPath Document Understanding, Microsoft Azure...).
• Build and refine extraction models using OCR, NLP/LLMs, and machine learning techniques.
• Contribute to pre‑sales by shaping proposals, estimating effort, and defining solution architectures.
• Oversee development teams, ensuring best practices, code quality, and adherence to governance models.
• Be on top ofnew features released by leading technologies and foster the adoption across teams.
• Continuously explore and applynew IDP practices, to improve solution performance and user experience.
• Supportproject planning, effort estimation, and documentation as part of a cross‑functional agile team.
• Ensure quality, testing, and post‑deployment support to meet client expectations and SLAs, in collaboration with our Delivery team.

Must‑have Qualifications & Competencies

• 5+ years of experience in IDP, OCR, NLP/ML, or automation‑driven process transformation.
• Outstanding grasp of AI/ML and document understanding techniques (classification, extraction, model training, human‑in‑the‑loop, validation).
• Proven experience leading client‑facing projects within consulting or professional services.
• UiPath certification required, others appreciated.
• Confident in English (written and spoken); Spanish or other languages are a plus.
• Independent, proactive, and self‑driven — you take initiative and don’t wait to be told what to do.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
• Ability to manage projects and drive account value through continuous collaboration with clients.
• Willingness to mentor junior developers and contribute to capability building across the team.
• Must be located in Barcelona, Spain.

Nice‑to‑have Qualifications & Competencies

• Experience integrating IDP with RPA, workflow, BPM, or orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity withPython/NLP libraries (spaCy, Hugging Face, transformers) and cloud AI services.
• Knowledge ofdocument lifecycle management and data‑governance best practices.
• Additional Automation certifications are a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Can combine IDP, AI and ML skills in a broader solution architecture context (e.g. Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Takes ownership of projects with minimal oversight.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Communicates clearly in English and Spanish, third language is a plus.
