To strengthen our electrical department, we are looking for a

Lead Architect Software Development (m / f / d)

Responsibilities:

1. Responsibility for the software architecture of our industrial automation solutions, with a focus on scalability, modularity and performance.
2. Strategic further development of the system architecture towards a partly cloud-based PaaS solution.
3. Definition and implementation of technical standards for software design, code quality and best practices.
4. Technical management of refactoring projects to efficiently modernize existing systems.
5. Advising and supporting the development team in the implementation of architectural requirements.
6. Evaluating new technologies and methods to ensure long-term innovation capability.
7. Close collaboration with product management, team leadership and other specialist departments to optimally link technical and business requirements.
8. Further development of agile working methods (SCRUM, DevOps) for more efficient software development.

Your profile:

1. Completed Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable field.
2. Several years of professional experience in software architecture, ideally in industrial automation or the process industry.
3. Very good knowledge of modern software architectures, in particular cloud platforms (PaaS, SaaS) and distributed systems.
4. Practical experience with common architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design).
5. Experience with the implementation and scaling of IoT, edge or cloud applications is an advantage.
6. SCRUM experience, ideally already introducing agile methods in a company.
7. iSAQB certification (CPSA-A) is required.
8. Strong communication skills and strategic thinking to inspire teams and stakeholders for technical solutions.
9. Independent, structured way of working and enjoy developing innovative solutions.
