An international educational institution located in Comunidad de Madrid is seeking an IB Mathematics Teacher for maternity leave, effective from December 2025 or January 2026. This position entails teaching IB Mathematics at various levels, supervising extended essays, and advising upper school students. Formación

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB.
  • Specialist in teaching IBDP Mathematics.
  • Experience in developing curricular unit maps using Understanding by Design.

Responsabilidades

  • Teach IB Mathematics HL & SL and Grade 9 and 10 Integrated Mathematics.
  • Serve as an advisor in the Upper School.
  • Supervise IB Extended Essays.

Overview

POSITION: IB Mathematics Teacher (Maternity Leave) End date June 2026

STARTING DATE: To be decided depending on recruitment progress - Most likely December 2025 / January 2026

Responsibilities
  • International Baccalaureate (IBDP) Mathematics HL & SL
  • Grade 9 and 10 Integrated Mathematics
  • Advisor in the Upper School
  • Supervise IB Extended Essays
  • Sponsor of an extracurricular activity, as needed
Qualifications
  • Teacher Certification + 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB
  • Specialist in teaching IBDP Mathematics
  • Ability and experience in teaching Integrated Mathematics are preferred
  • Experience in using Understanding by Design to develop curricular unit maps
  • Experience in using Universal Design for Learning as an approach to planning for teaching and learning
  • Experience using a standards-based approach and performance-based assessments
  • Experience in using cooperative, inquiry, and project-based learning
  • Experience in using standards-based grading and assessment practices
  • Experience in using technology as an instructional tool
  • Experience/willingness to serve as an advisor
  • Experience/willingness to work with ELL and students with diverse learning needs
  • Experience in using student data to inform instructional practices
Additional Information

Working hours: 8:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
