Responsibilities
- The main accountabilities as Home Office Construction Engineer are: Prepare the general Method statement related to general site conditions for mechanical erection works and relevant price lists; contribute to the definition and design of Temporary Construction Facilities and Camp (if applicable) as a basis for constructability workshops.
- Coordinate and assess modular assessment and modular extension for the construction site.
- Prepare the basis for works sequence and follow up the fine tuning of construction schedule in coordination with the Planning Department.
- Lead constructability workshops and follow up actions to ensure all stakeholders take the required actions.
- Provide the physical link between the Project Construction Manager and Project Teams Leaders / Engineering departments to produce timely, complete deliverables with project-specific data and construction execution requirements.
- Support the estimating department as required, especially regarding manpower mobilization and Temporary Construction Facilities and Camp Facilities (if applicable).
- Prepare the Bid Inquiry (Master DID Packages) in coordination with the Subcontracting department for all contractual aspects; follow up bid inquiries and relevant answers and prepare recommendations for final negotiations / award during bidding.
- Monitor vendor deliverables to ensure overall design aligns with constructability strategies.
- Prepare and manage Project Construction deliverables in coordination with the Project Construction Manager; support Project planning for all activities related to Construction deliverables.
- Incorporate feedback and lessons learned from Construction Sites and vendors / subcontractors into methods statements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related).
- 10 years of experience in energy, oil & gas, or related projects.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (AutoCAD, Primavera, Cranimax, E3D, etc.).
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with online collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint).
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
