A global industrial company is seeking a Global Head of Compensation to oversee the global compensation framework, including grading methodology and salary reviews. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in compensation management, strong Workday knowledge, and excellent analytical and communication skills. This role allows flexible location within Europe, aiming to attract top talent in a competitive market.

Formación

The Opportunity

We achieve this by providing specialist knowledge and expertise to deliver C&B solutions, advice, compliance and risk mitigation to our people and the business.

We are seeking a Global Head of Compensation to lead and evolve our global compensation framework. This role will be responsible for the grading methodology, managing the Annual Salary Review process within Workday, establishing and maintaining salary ranges, and overseeing data submissions for external salary benchmarking. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compensation strategy, deep knowledge and experience in grading with strong analytical capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to support our business goals and ensure market competitiveness. The location for this role is flexible within Europe, and will be determined in subsequent stages.

How you will make an impact

Grading Methodology Ownership

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of a scalable job grading methodology based on the Mercer Job Catalog.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational structure, career architecture, and external market practices.

Annual Salary Review Process

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of the Annual Salary Review cycle within Workday, including planning, system configuration, execution, and post-cycle analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and Finance to ensure budget adherence and policy compliance.

Salary Range Management

  • Develop and maintain salary structures by job family, level, and geographic location.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Provide data-driven insights and reporting on compensation program effectiveness.

Benchmarking & Market Intelligence

  • Manage the submission of compensation data to external benchmarking providers.
  • Analyse market trends and survey results to inform compensation strategy and decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement & Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of compensation professionals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, HR Business Partners, and Finance on compensation and grading matters.
  • Partner with leadership to align compensation programs with business objectives.
  • Deliver training and guidance to HR teams on compensation frameworks, policies, and tools.

Your background

A confident and adaptable professional with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Must possess good communication skills and enjoys work that is complex and detailed in nature. Main skills required for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR, Business Administration, or related field;
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation management and grading positions, preferably in a global industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday compensation modules and processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with strong business acumen.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external vendors.
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
