Formación

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably in a high growth environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

Job Summary

It is an exciting time to join the Taste Business Finance team at IFF. This role is not just an excellent opportunity to gain strong business knowledge but also a crucial part of our team's success. The Senior Finance Analyst will partner with the North American sales team and support the Director of Finance in areas such as, but not limited to, in-depth sales analysis, providing clear performance insights, forecasting, budgeting, cost monitoring, working capital analysis and process optimization, etc. in a way that contributes to improving business performance, execution of business strategy, and company´s results overall.

The How: Senior Finance Analyst

Success in this role is heavily dependent on your ability to think strategically. It's about connecting the dots between the bigger picture and the details of key deliverables, identifying trends and market dynamics linked back to the business. Building trust between groups and working cross-functionally on the activities needed to deliver impactful solutions. You constantly look for ways to improve and further develop our internal analytical tools, demonstrating your forward-looking and innovative approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate sales performance vs. budget, prior year, and forecast; providing key drivers and actionable insights explanations into variances.
  • Analyze the project’s pipeline growth win performance, realized in win value, and price/volume dynamics.
  • Highlight future Risks & Opportunities with Sales & SG&A Expenses.
  • Maintain strong relations with the sales leaders to collate insights for the weekly sales outlook; coordinate monthly sales forecasting, while continuously improving the overall forecast process and accuracy.
  • Proactively monitor sales and margin data looking for trends, anomalies, and other insights.
  • Support specific projects and initiatives, such as system updates and business process improvements.
  • Develop and present reports that highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Support cost optimization and improvement initiatives, including monitoring SG&A expenses and working capital (accounts receivables) efficiency.
  • Represent Finance to coach non-finance persons and drive such knowledge sharing locally.

Key Competencies:

  • Core working hours to support US time zone: 11:00PM - 7:00 PM CET
  • Experience in a consumer manufacturing industry, particularly in the analysis of sales and financial data
  • Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope
  • High drive for excellence and continuous improvement, winner’s mentality partnering for shared success
  • Proven ability to set and meet ambitious deadlines, handle numerous multifaceted financial matters and see projects through to conclusion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Fluent in spoken and written English)

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business degree is required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Financial Planning and Analysis Experience, preferably in high growth environment. (Working knowledge of U.S. a strong bonus)
