Pastry Chef Specialist

We are seeking an experienced pastry chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention catering service.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the pastry shop according to company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the production, quality, and presentation of pastry and dessert offerings.
  • Assist with forecasting production needs and tracking leftovers.
  • Coordinate display setup for various buffets.
  • Maintain knowledge of food safety regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of the pastry shop and equipment.
  • Prepare the pastry area for health inspections.
  • Requisition and transport necessary items from main stores to the pastry shop.
  • Verify that recipes and yields meet company standards.
  • Assist with completing daily pastry consumption reports.
  • Aware of and assist with guest and crew member inquiries.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience as a pastry chef in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention catering service.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and equipment usage.
  • Completion of high school or equivalent education requirement.
