Mission

Ensure adherence to environmental management procedures across all sectors of EDPR Deutschland. Manage environmental aspects of wind farm projects in development, construction, and operation in Germany, and support environmental measures for solar projects under construction.

Main Accountabilities

1. Perform environmental feasibility studies.
2. Assist development team in preparing environmental authorizations.
3. Support contracting and management of contractors conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).

During Construction and Operational Phases

• Support the implementation of environmental measures (reduction and compensatory measures) and monitor their follow-up during operation.
• Review environmental documentation from construction and operational contractors.
• Audit project sites and contractors for compliance with permits and environmental obligations, addressing non-compliance issues during construction and operation.
• Initiate and analyze ecological studies during the operational phase.

Required Profile

• Academic Level: Graduate or Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Ecology.
• Professional Experience: 2-5 years in wind or solar project development.
• Knowledge: Understanding of national and European environmental legislation and Environmental Impact Assessment, especially related to wind and solar energy projects.
• Languages: Fluent in German and English.
• Skills/Competencies: German Driving License, stakeholder management, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent German report writing skills, organizational skills, and effective communication.
