The Role

We are looking for a Business Development Director with proven experience in the internationalization of financial services or technology companies, who will lead our international expansion across Southern Europe. In addition to internationalization expertise, the ideal candidate will have strong commercial skills focused on generating new business opportunities and closing deals with institutional clients and partners. Strategic creativity is an essential capability for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic alliances with financial institutions, investors, and local partners in new markets.
  • Identify and open new business opportunities in regulated environments such as private equity and wealth management.
  • Generate business and product ideas with an “out-of-the-box” mindset to strengthen the company’s value proposition.
  • Represent Crescenta in international forums, with clients, and international stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the consolidation of Crescenta’s value proposition across Europe.
Requirements
  • Over 15 years of experience in business development, institutional sales, or international expansion within the financial / fintech / asset management sectors.
  • A proven track record of successfully leading the internationalization of a growth-stage company efficiently and with agility.
  • Knowledge of regulated markets (asset management, private equity, wealthtech).
  • Previous experience in Italy or Portugal, with an existing network of contacts considered a strong asset.
  • Fluent English (mandatory); other European languages are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial, legal, and regulatory technical concepts.
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and trust-building skills with institutional partners.
