Overview

Job Title: Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled data analyst to join our research team in understanding and treating Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

The selected candidate will be involved in integrating and analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, epigenomic, and proteomic data to identify disease mechanisms, biomarkers of progression, and therapeutic targets in ALS.

The project is part of a national research initiative focused on precision medicine and longitudinal studies.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining bioinformatics pipelines for short-read and long-read sequencing data analysis.
  • Integrating genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic data, including DNA variants, RNA expression, splicing, and methylation profiles.
  • Contributing to variant prioritization and patient stratification through multi-omics data interpretation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in NGS data processing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in NGS data processing and analysis.
  • Experience in short-read and long-read WGS data analysis.
  • Experience with RNA-seq and methylation analysis.
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., R, Python) and familiarity with HPC environments.
  • Interest in neurodegenerative diseases and translational research.
  • Teamwork and communication skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
