About the role

Reporting to the Head of Customer Engagement South the Customer Engagement Specialist will have responsibility to support the local market of DS Smith Packaging organization in the continuous improvement of the relationships with our customers by creating positive experiences which can underpin long-lasting partnerships through our Model to Serve.

A core part of the role will be the bridge between Sales Marketing and Design / innovation departments bringing together the best expertise and knowledge from across the business to deliver superior Customer Engagement.

Your remit will include but not limited to :

Develop and lead a local program of End-to-End Customer Engagement that can reach across the local market supporting all clusters and business units in line with Model to Serve and which caters to specific local sales needs

Handle a wide range of workshops (1 : 1) physically virtually and hybrid

Help organizing and running larger workshops (1 : many) webinars and multi-customer events including the annual customer event

Own the localization of and be seen as the local market expert in trends & insights. From mega trends packaging trends and insights within our prioritized categories and also in retail to e-comm and sustainability

Manage maintain and update the physical space of Madrids Customer Innovation HUB so that it remains dynamic refreshed and updated including identification of new themes content creative ideas and technologies

Build content and compelling storytelling presentations based on relevant trends insight and best practice and deliver them in a way that is informative engaging and relevant to our customers world

Support the SMI team on wider End-to-End Customer projects such as; tender submissions innovation and design storytelling customer meetings etc.

Build strong relationships with sales leaders sales teams and design & innovation teams across the region and the entire SMI organization with dotted line reporting and accountability to Sales leadership

Integrate contribute and play a key role in the wider South Europe Marketing Team with the Marketing Category Management Innovation Squad and CE sub-functions to collaborate on Regional projects strategy and delivery

Collaborate with cross-Regional Customer Engagement colleagues within DS Smith to participate in and contribute to the European Customer Engagement network exchanging learnings and best practices

About you

3-5 years of experience in sales marketing and / or brand management within FMCG companies Retail research companies or design agencies.

A natural energy proactivity and desire to help both Customers and colleagues succeed

Strong communication and presentation skills the right person will enjoy working collaboratively and creatively with both Customers and colleagues

Strong influencing and trust building skills the right person will be good at winning the confidence of both Customers and colleagues

A good level of IT skills and an openness to embracing new digital technologies to run effective virtual / hybrid workshops and events with customers

Technical profile :

Fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese will be a plus.

Valuable experience with Dynamics CRM and Photoshop

  • Experienced / advanced user in Microsoft Powerpoint
