A renewable energy company in Madrid is seeking a Legal Advisor to provide legal support across various departments, draft and negotiate contracts, and manage relations with law firms. The ideal candidate has a Law degree, over 3 years of experience in a reputable law firm, and full command of English. The role offers a hybrid model and opportunities for growth in a multicultural environment.

Overview

Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.

Main responsibilities

• Providing legal support and legal advice to the different areas / departments of the company: Development, Construction, M&A, Project Finance, Operation and Maintenance, Finance and Administration, Asset management, etc.
• Drafting, review and negotiation of contracts for the different areas / departments of the company (land agreements, grid connection, equipment supply agreements, project finance, EPC, O&M, PPA, etc.).
• Legal support on project finance, structured finance and corporate finance.
• Corporate law.
• Management of national and international law firms.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Law. A Master\'s Degree in Business Legal Advice (máster en asesoría jurídica de empresas) is a plus.
• Good command of Microsoft Office.
• Over 3 years of experience in a reputable law firm / international law firm.
• Full command of English.
