As a Converter Control Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge software for wind turbine power converters, contributing to the performance and reliability of our turbines worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing application software for wind turbine power converters using Matlab/Simulink
- Programming PLC systems and developing libraries in C/C++
- Creating and maintaining software specifications using agile tools such as Confluence and JIRA
- Developing and executing validation tests for converter application software
- Supporting test bench validation for power converter systems
- Building simulation models for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing
- Collaborating with internal departments and the power converter hardware development team
Qualifications
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
- 3–5 years of experience in application software development for wind turbine converters
- Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink and PLC programming
- A structured, independent, and reliable working style
- Strong communication skills and intercultural competence
- A hands-on mentality and customer-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); German or Spanish is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally
