Formación

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in composite materials manufacturing and repair; aviation experience preferred.
  • Proven hands-on experience (2+ years) as a maintenance or manufacturing technician.
  • Minimum English level B1; ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Job Summary

The Composite & Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for the manufacturing, repair and maintenance of composite and light-metal airframe components for Skydweller’s UAVs. The role focuses on composite lay‑up and prepreg processes, curing, structural repairs, sheet‑metal work, aircraft assembly tasks, and direct support to flight operations as ground crew. The technician will work with engineering documentation, perform tests and inspections, and ensure all activities meet aeronautical safety and quality standards. This is an on-site position based in Fuerteventura.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture composite parts using wet lay‑up and prepreg lamination processes.
  • Execute curing cycles (ovens and thermal blankets) and monitor cure parameters.
  • Perform adhesive joints, patch repairs and structural composite reinforcements.
  • Produce and adjust aluminum and sheet‑metal components as required.
  • Read and work from mechanical and engineering drawings.
  • Carry out aircraft assembly, maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with AMM/SRM procedures.
  • Participate as part of the ground crew for aircraft launch, recovery and flight testing.
  • Set up and execute mechanical system tests following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of manufacturing, maintenance and inspection activities; sign off work orders and document deviations.
  • Ensure correct use of PPE and follow all safety procedures during composite and maintenance operations.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in composite materials manufacturing and repair; aviation experience preferred.
  • Proven hands‑on experience (2+ years) as a maintenance or manufacturing technician, or demonstrable equivalent.
  • Minimum English level B1; Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and engineering documentation. Experience with wet lay‑up, prepreg lamination and curing cycles.
  • Knowledge of adhesive bonding and composite repair techniques.
  • Ability to manufacture and adjust aluminum/sheet‑metal parts.
  • Comfortable working at height when required (ladders, platforms, or access equipment).
  • Valid driving license.
  • Flexible availability when needed, particularly during key flight operations or testing phases.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline and teamwork skills.
