Commercial General Manager – North of Spain
The Commercial General Manager leads the full commercial and operational strategy of the organization, with a strong emphasis on marketing, sales, and scalable business growth. A major responsibility is to steer mass marketing and performance marketing initiatives, ensuring the brand is well‑positioned and demand generation is optimized across all channels.
Responsibilities
- Drive go‑to‑market strategies, adapt global initiatives to the local market, and ensure alignment with central functional teams.
- Oversee large‑scale tech‑marketing operations and ensure data‑driven decision‑making to accelerate customer acquisition, retention, cross‑sell, upsell, and revenue performance.
- Lead a large, diverse organization of up to 300 employees, building and developing high‑performing teams and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor market trends, identify business opportunities, and manage shared P&L performance.
- Lead local marketing and sales strategy and execution, from branding and customer acquisition to retention, cross‑selling, and up‑selling.
- Operational management: oversee all localization efforts to adapt the go‑to‑market approach to local requirements, collaborate with central teams to leverage group resources and develop the local brand, coordinate and prioritize projects and initiatives in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Build and manage a high‑performing sales and marketing team to drive company growth, and assume shared profit and loss responsibility for the local brand.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership positions, preferably in a fast‑paced, agile, hyper‑growth tech‑related environment.
- Strong background in mass marketing and performance marketing.
- A proven track record of successfully achieving significant sales, revenue, and EBITDA growth.
- Early career stages in consulting / ex‑consultant background.
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Data and Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or similar postgraduate degree is advantageous.
- Profound technical knowledge and understanding, preferably in the area of domains, hosting, and cloud solutions.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English.
- Willing to be based in Logroño for a minimum of 3 days per week.
