About This Opportunity

Based within the Solution Area Cognitive Network Solutions (SA CNS), CNS CSE System & Technology is a research and prototyping team responsible for creating innovative concepts to secure Ericsson's leadership in Cellular Network Design and Optimization. We develop AI-based prototypes based on business requirements, protect concepts through patents, and reinforce thought leadership through technical publications. Are you in?

What You Will Do

• Serve as a senior technical expert on RAN Network Design and Optimization for 4G and 5G.
• Create AI-based prototypes in collaboration with data scientists, utilizing Python programming.
• Develop and present technical solutions and proposals to stakeholders.
• Suggest improvements to the CNS-NDO portfolio to Product Management.
• Contribute to Ericsson's advancements in Design and Optimization as networks evolve.
• Collaborate with Ericsson Research and other teams to identify AI opportunities and product needs.
• Stay updated on AI technologies and trends.
• Guide discussions with Customer Units to understand requirements.
• Manage customer expectations and implement solutions on time.
• Secure IPR protection through patent applications.
• Validate prototypes on live networks and support productization transitions.
• Analyze industry trends and their impact on Network Design and Optimization.
• Engage with universities and research organizations to align with technology breakthroughs.

You will bring

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or IT.
• Around 10 years of ICT Industry experience, with expertise in RAN Design and Optimization.
• Expertise in 5G, ML & AI applied to NDO services, or Cloud-RAN.
• Solid knowledge of RAN domain services and data analytics.
• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) from a recognized engineering school.
• Strong concept prototyping skills, especially in Python programming.
• Ability to understand customers' objectives and enhance Network Performance and User Experience.
• Effective communication skills to influence C-Level executives.
