We are a company specialized in the manufacturing of components for electric hybrid and internal combustion vehicles. We have the support of 4000 employees across 6 countries operating in 13 production units and 3 engineering centers to serve more than 100 clients.

At Draxton Barcelona located in Sant Vicenç dels Horts (Barcelona) we want to hire a Casting Development Engineer.

In this position the main responsibility is to validate product and tooling manufacturability, lead the tooling procurement process, and oversee industrialization.

The role ensures alignment with established technical objectives and quoted parameters. The role reports both hierarchically and functionally to the Plant Engineering Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Validate process models and tooling designs proposed during the Concept Phase by Casting Product Engineering.
• Oversee tooling construction ensuring timely purchase orders certification checks and compliance with technical specifications.
• Lead product industrialization following the NPCD process coordinating test plans execution and production parameters.
• Take technical ownership of prototype and first sample manufacturing analyzing results and driving improvements.
• Share test outcomes with Casting Product Engineering and document lessons learned to support future implementations.

To Succeed in This Role You Will Need

• Engineering Degree.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in production engineering in automotive industry.
• High valuable: Basic 3D view, Basic Magma SW Foundry Knowledge, Knowledge about core Tools (APQP PPAP FMEA…) / IATF.
• High Level of English.
