A leading research institution in Barcelona is seeking a candidate for a Bioinformatics position focusing on the role of mobile elements in nervous system evolution. The role involves identifying, annotating, and analyzing transposable elements' distribution in nematodes. A degree and Master's in Bioinformatics or related fields are required, with consideration for additional qualifications such as a PhD and experience in high-performance computing. This position is on a one-year contract with the possibility of extension.

Formación

• A degree and a Master in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology, or Biotechnology required.
• PhD is not required but will be considered.
• Experience with high-performance computing or use of clusters (SLURM).
• Additional education, courses or workshops are meritorious.
• Publication record and/or contributions to congresses are a plus.
• Proficient English knowledge.

Dissecting the role of mobile elements in nervous system evolution and nematode adaptation. Training and tasks will consist on identifying, annotating and analyzing transposable elements' distribution in different species and populations of nematodes.

Contract
