A global banking institution is seeking a Big Data Software Engineer in Madrid to lead the development of Counterparty Risk systems. Candidates should possess 5-6 years of experience in Scala and Spark, along with knowledge of SCIB and Counterparty Risk. The role includes developing batch integration for markets products and providing production support for business initiatives.

Overview

Big Data Software Engineer - SCIB Madrid

Location: BOADILLA DEL MONTE, Madrid, Spain

Responsibilities

• As Big Data Software Engineer, lead development, evolution and resolution of incidents for the Counterparty system and the data sources it uses. Ensure the quality and processing of information from Global and Local systems within the risk management and control of Counterparty Risk.
• Develop the Batch integration of Markets products and Operational systems with the Counterparty Risk management and control system.
• Provide production support for changes arising from SCIB business initiatives and technology changes.
• Lead evolutions and fixes of the Counterparty system based on root-cause analysis in case of incidents.
• Interact with different risk and technology user areas in the production of SCIB risk systems.

Experience

• At least 5–6 years of demonstrated development experience with knowledge of Scala / Spark.
• Experience in a CDP environment and Cloudera base software.
• Knowledge of SCIB or Wholesale Banking in functional and technical areas of products derivatives and Markets, as well as Counterparty Risk.

Education and Certifications

• Engineering or Higher Degree in Computer Science or related field.
