Duties and Responsibilities

The BESS Service Engineer will be responsible for the BESS fulfillment and after-sale services, including

  • On-site installation and Commiccioning Support
  • Service Training to customers / partners
  • Response to aftersale service claim
  • On-site Troubleshooring, Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance (if neccessary)
  • Local logistics and warehouse management
  • Interface with local service partners
Installation and Commissioning
  • Travel to customer sites in the Spain region to support and provide guidance during the physical installation and cable connection of BESS products in strict accordance with the company's technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Support and commissioning phase and provide guidance for system setting configuration and initial testing to verify the proper functioning of the installed system.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales, R&D, and Solution during the commissioning process to ensure a smooth handover from installation to operation.
  • Manage local logistics and warehouse partners to make sure the BESS product is delivered in accordance with the target date and location.
Aftersale services and Maintenance
  • Provide prompt response to customer aftersale / warranty claims and questions and ensure customer satisfaction on Mars aftersale services
  • Develop and implement a regular maintenance schedule for installed C&I BESS systems, including battery health checks, equipment inspections, and software updates.
  • Monitor system performance through remote monitoring tools and on-site visits, and collect data for analysis to identify potential issues and trends.
  • Replace faulty components promptly, following the company's spare parts management procedures.
  • Provide customers with preventive maintenance advice and training to optimize system performance and extend its service life.
  • Interact and provide guidance to local service partners for after-sale activities.
Troubleshooting
  • Respond promptly to customer reports of system malfunctions or performance issues.
  • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately identify the root cause of problems, whether they are electrical, mechanical, or software-related.
  • Develop and execute effective solutions to resolve issues, minimizing system downtime and customer impact.
  • Document all troubleshooting processes and results for future reference and knowledge sharing within the team.
Customer Support
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with customers in the Spain region, providing them with professional and friendly technical support.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers to understand their needs and expectations, and provide appropriate solutions and recommendations.
  • Provide post-installation training to customers on system operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
Reporting
  • Prepare regular reports on installation progress, maintenance activities, troubleshooting results, and customer feedback.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information for management to make informed decisions regarding product improvement, resource allocation, and customer service enhancement.
Successful applicants
  • Candidates with at least 2 years of experience in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, or troubleshooting of BESS, EV Charging, Inverters is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as safety codes and electrical installation requirements.
  • Strong technical skills in electrical and communication systems, battery technology, and control systems. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, communication protocols and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment for system inspection and troubleshooting.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal. This is essential for interacting with customers, colleagues, and partners in the BeNeLux region.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with good time management and organizational skills. Willingness to travel within the Spain region as required.
  • Certifications : Relevant certifications in electrical engineering, battery technology, or energy storage systems are an advantage, such as electrical engineer certificates, electrical safety certificates or industry-recognized training courses.
