An international leader in open access publishing is seeking an Editorial Trainee to join their team in Barcelona. The position involves collaborating with Managing Editors to process academic papers and develop editorial skills. Candidates should have an academic background in Physics or Astronomy, and the opportunity offers professional development, a friendly working environment, and participation in scientific conferences.
Your Responsibilities:
You will start as an Editorial Trainee working closely with our Managing Editors to learn how to process papers from submission to publication. Upon successful completion of your traineeship, you will be appointed as an Assistant Editor. We share a passion for disseminating scientific knowledge and are motivated to contribute to open access publishing. Depending on your scientific background, you will be assigned to a relevant field such as: Observational astronomy, Observational astrophysics, Observational cosmology, Astroparticle physics, Messengers of the early universe, Theoretical cosmology, Gravitational waves, Gravitation and general relativity, Dark matter and dark energy, Quantum gravity, Black hole physics, Multi-frequency astronomy, Neutrino astronomy, Astronomy at all scales, Planetary sciences, among others.
Your responsibilities include executing editorial work for journals within your domain, organizing the review process, overseeing editorial decisions, and managing communication between involved parties.
