We are looking for a Specialist Technician to join Analytical Method Validation & Standardization team within Quality Control Division of Instituto Grifols SA, a company specialized in the research, development, and production of purified plasma proteins with therapeutic properties obtained from the fractionation of human plasma.

The Analytical Development Specialist will propose, develop and coordinate technical studies related to product quality control to ensure their application, in accordance with established requirements and regulations, guaranteeing the optimal evaluation of the quality of manufactured products.

What your responsibilities will be
  • Prepare the study protocol, defining the scope of application, procedures to follow, and evaluation criteria.
  • Propose and provide guidance on the resources needed to carry out the study within the planned timeframe.
  • Conduct the study and evaluate the results of the developed study protocols.
  • Draft technical reports derived from the developed study protocols.
  • Propose, advise, and implement changes, improvements, and innovations in analytical procedures based on the results of the technical studies conducted.
  • Assess the unit’s needs related to analytical equipment and systems.
  • Design user requirements to evaluate the suitability of equipment and systems proposed by suppliers.
  • Participate in the qualification and validation of laboratory equipment and computer systems.
  • Provide technical support to the unit in troubleshooting issues related to the use of laboratory equipment and computer systems.
Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in chemistry or Health Sciences.
  • You have experience in the use, setup and incident management of laboratory equipment.
  • You have proven experience in the development, optimization and validation of analytical methods.
  • You are proficient in Empower (chromatographic data management software) and computer system validation, ensuring compliance with Data Integrity regulations.
  • You have advanced Spanish and English skills.
  • You have advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • You have good knowledge of statistical analysis, having used tools such as SPSS, Minitab or R etc.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment software (Empower, Tiamo, Endoscan, or similar) will be valued.
  • You possess knowledge of SAP or related ERP systems.
  • You can work autonomously with a results‑oriented approach while supporting department tasks.
  • You have strong teamwork skills and can adapt to shifting priorities.
  • You communicate effectively and collaborate well with colleagues.
