Overview

Accounting and reporting Specialist Spain

We are looking for an accounting and reporting specialist who will be responsible for the preparation and management of the administrative, financial and tax issues and accountancy of the companies under management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of reference for specific clients under management, ensuring a high quality of service and meeting all requests from clients on a timely basis;
• Develop a good understanding of industry specific practices including Power Purchase Agreements, construction and operational processes, applying technology specific accounting practices;
• Prepare VAT returns on a monthly and quarterly basis, and assist with accounting, tax and financial queries as required;
• Issue and register invoices.
• Preparation and submission of the applicable taxes.
• Preparation and submission of financial reporting to the client including main KPIs.
• Controlling the deadlines of loan repayments.
• Banks reconciliations.
• Accruing of the projects’ incomes.
• Accruing of the main expenses : Insurance, land lease, depreciation, O&M.
• Documentation management (physical and digital archive).
• Preparation and deposit of Annual Accounts and official books.
• Project Finance management including relation with the Banks and budget preparation.

Qualifications

• Accounting, financial and tax knowledge of small and medium companies
• 3-4 years of experience
• SAGE knowledge is a must
• Qualified with experience in accounting for renewable assets is a must
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Strong aptitude for math, attention to detail
• Ability to organize work independently and as part of a team
• Economics Degree or Business Administration
