A leading fragrance company in Barcelona is seeking an experienced Account Manager to handle Fine Fragrance accounts. You will cultivate customer relationships, drive sales, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Candidates must have a relevant degree and at least 5 years of experience in sales within the Fragrance Industry. Proficiency in English, French, and Spanish is essential. This role allows for a hybrid work model.

Formación

  • At least 5 years’ experience in sales or marketing in the Fragrance Industry.
  • Olfactive knowledge in the Fine fragrance segment.
  • Ability to deal with basic financial concepts/processes.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for a number of important Fine Fragrance accounts for the assigned sales budget set by the Regional Management, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week.

You will be accountable for driving sustainable profitable sales and market share growth by identifying customer needs & opportunities, establishing solid customer relationships, leading and coordinating IFF activities, and promoting relevant IFF fragrance solutions aligned with corporate strategy.

This position is based in Barcelona, Spain, and reports into the Spain sales direction.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain sustainable relationships with internal and external customers
  • Prepare account plan and report relevant market information
  • Achieve profitable sales growth with the customer
  • Ensure financial targets are met and business performance is constantly monitored and reported
  • Collaborate with internal departments to explore innovations and new concepts related to customers’ products and ongoing projects
  • Monitor market development in terms of competitors, products, and trends
  • Partner with the operations team to ensure customer satisfaction in terms of service, quality, and supply
  • Overall manage the relationships between the different functions from the customer and IFF
  • Provide (on time) all information necessary relating to the service of the accounts, including: presentations to customers, arranging customer visits / workshops, keeping the customer up to date at all times, responsible for the project pipeline, and the accurate and timely use and maintenance of all information entered into the project management system. Develop account plans for the most important accounts.
Job Requirements
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in Business, Economy, Marketing, or Chemistry
  • We will rely on your at least 5 years’ experience in sales, sales service, product development, or marketing in the Fragrance Industry, preferably the fine fragrance industry
  • Olfactive knowledge and skills in the Fine fragrance segment
  • You are fluent in business English, French, and Spanish
  • To be the successful candidate, you need: ability to deal with basic financial concepts / processes, passion in fragrance with strong interests in product development, consumers, and market understanding, strong negotiation skills, proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
