The role

We’re looking for a Scientific Solution Architect / Application Specialist (m / f / d) to join our team and play a critical role in delivering value to our customers by designing, building, and supporting customized workflows and integrations. As a key member of our technical team, you’ll collaborate closely with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product implementation, customer success, and sales support.

Our mission is to empower researchers and engineers in biotech, pharma, chemistry, and food industries to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges. We provide the infrastructure to automate and digitize laboratory workflows. Our API‑first services and Python libraries connect lab equipment to cloud‑based systems, creating an AI‑ready foundation for autonomous workflows with everything defined as code. You will be on the front lines, ensuring that our solutions truly meet the needs of our customers and help them drive meaningful results.

As an integral part of our team, you’ll thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, taking ownership of critical projects and working collaboratively across teams and stakeholders.

Your mission

Customer‑Centric Solutions: Engage with customers to understand key scientific and business needs, collaborate on testing to ensure the solution aligns with their requirements, and swiftly incorporate feedback to deliver real‑time solutions.

Build and Support Workflows: Own, scope, prototype, and implement customized scientific workflows and integrations, ensuring seamless and impactful use of the UniteLabs platform.

Sales and Technical Support: Collaborate with the Go‑To‑Market team to ensure successful product adoption and provide expert consultation to customers, acting as a product expert.

Implementation Lead: Proactively communicate implementation progress, deliver demos to customer stakeholders, and lead sprint planning and prioritization for your use case or account.

Scientific Product Development: Contribute to connector and product development by leveraging scientific expertise and synthesizing customer feedback to ensure solutions meet real‑world laboratory needs.

  • Roadmap Prioritization: Identify areas for improvement and prioritize the roadmap by understanding customers’ pain points both within and outside the UniteLabs platform.
Your profile

Industry Knowledge: 5+ years of experience in automation in life sciences, whether at the bench in (Bio)Pharma, (Syn)Biotech, Diagnostics, or within the vendor space.

Technical Expertise: Experience leveraging (Python) code for scripting, automation, data analysis, data engineering, and data science.

Sales Support: Experience working closely with cross‑functional teams, ideally sales or customer‑facing roles, to support customer engagements, provide technical expertise, and help close deals.

Customer‑Focused: Demonstrated ability to design and implement solutions that meet customer or stakeholder needs, driving successful product adoption and satisfaction.

Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and successful outcomes.

Leadership & Collaboration: The confidence to take control of project delivery and willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and ensure the team's success.

Fluent in English: Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Nice to have

Experience with complex lab automation, liquid handling, and data handling in scientific environment

Experience leveraging cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) for solution design and architecture

Knowledge of the lab IT landscape including automation software, ELN / LIMS, as well as data formats, storage, and analysis solutions

Exposure to machine learning or AI, or a desire to grow expertise in these areas

Proficiency with our tech stack
