About the Role:

What you'll be doing:

1. Leading a team of motivated software engineers from different backgrounds.
2. Operating the GROPYUS IoT infrastructure inside our GROPYUS managed buildings.
3. Evaluating and integrating new (IoT) hardware into our existing ecosystem and ensuring that it can be used to deliver customer value.
4. Working closely together with your product management peers and other engineering team leads to deliver the right solution.
5. Collaborating with our vendor manager to make sure we scout and evaluate the right products.
6. Keeping up to date with new developments especially around smart building and smart homes.

What you bring:

1. 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with exposure to distributed systems and operating devices across various locations.
2. Professional experience in leading a software engineering team.
3. A good understanding of smart home and smart building technologies.
4. Experience in working with Linux based operating systems.
5. Experience in driving and documenting software system architecture in general and the decisions made in this respect in particular.
6. Experience in working in an agile environment.
7. Curiosity exploring new technologies and their possible value contribution to GROPYUS.
