As our Credit Risk Officer, you will be responsible for shaping how we assess and manage credit across a portfolio of growth tech companies.
You’ll play a key role in building a scalable, tech-driven risk infrastructure and work closely with our Finance, Product, and Data teams to ensure every credit decision is robust, data-driven, and aligned with our growth ambitions.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with sound judgment – and who’s excited about bringing structure and innovation to a fast‑moving fintech environment.

• Lead deal structuring and credit decisioning, ensuring a healthy balance between risk and return

• Shape collections, risk mitigation, and recovery strategies, working closely with external partners

• Continuously evolve risk policies, processes, and tools to improve scalability and automation

• Collaborate with funding partners, auditors, and legal advisors to maintain strong governance and compliance

• Act as a strategic partner to leadership, delivering insights that help balance growth ambitions with disciplined risk management

• 5+ years of experience in SME credit risk or lending operations in a bank, fintech, or financial institution

• Strong background in debt financing; exposure to venture debt or tech financing is a big plus

• Strong understanding of credit documentation, including loan and security agreements

• Experience working cross‑functionally with Product, Finance, and Data teams to support automation and scalable decisioning

• Fluent in English; German is a plus

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights

• Self‑driven, organised, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment

• Valid EU work permit and residence within the EU (re:cap does not offer visa or relocation support at the moment)
