A leading agricultural parts company is seeking a Category Manager for Forest & Grass Care to oversee product strategy, pricing, and assortment. The ideal candidate will develop category plans, conduct market research, and optimize product lifecycles. A Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience with commercial acumen are required. and take ownership of product strategy, pricing and assortment.
You develop a category plan in line with company strategy, select assortment based on market trends and customer data, implement tiered branding where needed to cover most customer needs and preferences, set competitive prices, and propose promotional activities. Data analysis is crucial in this role, as it informs product selection, pricing strategies, and promotional activities, ensuring the category's success.
You will report to the Head of Forest & Grass Care. In the team you will work as a tandem with the Category Buyer, to co-create and deliver Category Strategy & Plans, including Supplier (Portfolio) Strategy & Plans. The day-to-day execution of category and buying tasks is done by Category Specialists and Supplier Specialists.
As far as location is concerned : we prefer a candidate who lives not too far away from Varsseveld, since most of the team and important stakeholders work in our HQ in Varsseveld. The Strullendorf area is also fine, as some team members work at the office there. Following our hybrid work policy of 2-3 office days per week.
