Due to continuous expansion, we are looking for a detail oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant for our headquarter in Luxembourg (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) for our short sea roro shipping activities.

Within this function, you will perform various administrative duties for the accounting department.

• Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, etc.);
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and balance sheet accounts;
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes;
• Help prepare VAT returns and other statutory filings;
• Support the month‑end and year‑end closing activities;
• Support in the preparation of management reports and financial analyses;
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.

• 1 to 3 years relevant accounting experience in a similar function;
• Solid understanding of accounting principles;
• Proficient in Excel and familiarity with ERP / accounting systems
• Fluent in English. French or Dutch considered a plus;
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional finance environment.
