Job Description

You will play an integral role in delivering 3D CGI work for one of the most well recognized automotive brands in the world. You are a technophile with a background in traditional film and VFX, and you’ve focused recent years in the 3D CGI space. You will lead the agency’s 3D CGI discipline in Berlin with a focus on growing the 3D CGI practice in Germany and the broader EU market.

From creative and technical capabilities, production output, scale, automation, software allocations to hardware resources, you will lead it all to drive the growth and extension of structures and systems available to the team.

You will:

• Build world-class 3D CGI real-time virtual production content.
• Apply AI solutions to push boundaries of storytelling and entertainment.
• Promote 3D CGI practice inside and outside the organization.
• Build-out live virtual production and real-time rendering capabilities.
• Develop real-time creative collaboration pipelines inside client groups.
• Shape and grow the agency’s 3D CGI offerings and products.
• Advance the 3D practice to open new revenue streams for the organization.
• Engage with other group leads to collectively improve quality of work.
• Invest in research, technology and tools to achieve high levels of efficiency.
• Develop efficient and effective real-time production pipelines for each client.
• Foster a culture of creativity, innovation and exploration.
• Build strong partnerships with other studios, companies and organizations.
• Set up goals and performance targets for senior members of the Engineering team.
• Oversee LOE and timeline estimates.
• Drive creative ideation sessions.
• Align talent to work based on experience level.
• Perform visual and technical audit of key deliverables.
• Oversee the creation of key 3D CGI scenes and elements.
• Kick-off critical new work and establish visual development targets.

You are:

• An industry vet with at least 10+ years of experience in production (6+ years hands on experience with 3D software and real-time game engines).
• Experienced in automotive advertising and have experience with film, real-time development and virtual production.
• Highly proficient in post-production, VFX and high-end rendering pipelines, and are passionate about animation, gaming and VR.
• As strong leader with epic team building skills.
• Always up to date on the latest 3D and Unreal Engine best practices.
• Fluent in German and English in both written and oral communication.
