For our Undulator Systems Software Engineering Team, we are looking for a

Responsibilities
  • Working in close collaboration with other European XFEL and DESY groups to maintain and keep reliable operation of the undulator systems
  • Development and maintenance of the software for the undulator systems
  • Development and maintenance of undulator control system related databases
  • On call duty to solve urgent issues related to the operation of the undulator systems
Qualifications
  • Degree in computing science or corresponding IT educations
  • Knowledge and 5+ years of experience in C and Python
  • Knowledge of .NET framework, C#
  • Experience with Oracle Database
  • Experience with versioning and bug tracking tools (e.g. SVN, Git, JIRA)
  • Experience or willingness of working with hardware engineers to track issues
  • Knowledge of Beckhoff Automation Technology, TwinCAT, PLC is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-disciplinary team with English as working language
