For our Undulator Systems Software Engineering Team, we are looking for a
Responsibilities
- Working in close collaboration with other European XFEL and DESY groups to maintain and keep reliable operation of the undulator systems
- Development and maintenance of the software for the undulator systems
- Development and maintenance of undulator control system related databases
- On call duty to solve urgent issues related to the operation of the undulator systems
Qualifications
- Degree in computing science or corresponding IT educations
- Knowledge and 5+ years of experience in C and Python
- Knowledge of .NET framework, C#
- Experience with Oracle Database
- Experience with versioning and bug tracking tools (e.g. SVN, Git, JIRA)
- Experience or willingness of working with hardware engineers to track issues
- Knowledge of Beckhoff Automation Technology, TwinCAT, PLC is considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-disciplinary team with English as working language
