Senior Vehicle AI Architect (f/m/x)

With our team of AI architects, AI engineers, and AI strategists you can shape future system and HW architecture, determine and drive SW architecture with a strong focus on platforms and design AI model architectures that interplay symbiotically.

What awaits you?

• Designing of end-to-end AI & data architectures from data ingestion to model serving that uses and extends platforms within our vehicles (with a strong focus on edge).
• Building architectures that covers diverse use cases (e.g., automated driving, digital cockpits) to deliver holistic customer experiences.
• Providing architectural guardrails to business units and development teams, enabling competitive AI products on our AI platforms.
• Driving implementation of scalable AI software platforms, using the latest AI technologies and leveraging our in-house scalable software stacks.
• Linking platform and application development, defining interfaces, and ensuring new requirements are integrated directly into the AI and data platforms.

What should you bring along?

• Master's or Ph.D. in CS, AI, ML, Data Science, or related field with 5+ years in AI/data architecture. Automotive E/E architecture and AI vehicle app experience is a plus.
• Strong experience with vehicle AI architectures and implementation of Small Language Models, Vision Language Models, or autonomous driving models.
• Knowledge of multi-agent systems orchestration, multi-turn dialogues, and related open standards (e.g., A2A, MCP).
• Experience with AI training toolchains and workflows including pruning, fine-tuning, and multimodal encoding.
• Familiarity with open-source AI frameworks (LiteRT LM, ONNX GenAI, ExecuTorch, Llama-Stack) and comparison to proprietary frameworks. Skilled in Rust, C++, Kotlin, and API technologies.
• Profound understanding of AI models executed on hardware accelerators, with a focus on low-level software on Neural Processing Units (NPUs).
• Leadership experience in agile teams, strong communication skills, independent working style, very good English language skills. German is a plus.
