YOUR TEAM

Our team develops a scalable, global technology stack for NCAP up to Level 4 Driving and Parking functions that can continously be updated to recent state of the art. Our technology will power basic driver assistance as well as advanced automated Driving and Parking functions for all brands within Volkswagen Group.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Utilize scalable data pipelines for training, validation, and continuous improvement of ML models in cooperation with respective ADAS/AD teams
• Specify our (multi-sensor) data needs and keep track of the available data and its distributions
• Train and compare variants of our AI Models and analyze their performance
• Perform structured performance analyses to identify gaps in the data, of the models and identify product relevant problem cases
• Perform data selection & curation tasks to improve the performance of our AI models and processing pipeline and validate the performance by defining and implementing KPIs
• Design and implement relevant data quality checks & inspection and implement relevant data quality checks & inspection
• Create and maintain dashboards to visualize available data sets and model performance (KPIs)
• Create, implement and maintain components and tool plugins for visualization tooling for performance analysis
• Participate in process‑conform specification and testing of our SW components (e.g. ASPICE, SOTIF)

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree (Master or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Data Science & Scientific Computing, Machine Learning & Data Analytics or Mathematics or a related field with relation to AI
• At least two years of applied knowledge in data analytics using cloud‑based data platforms like DataBricks in an MS Azure environment
• Proficient in software development and programming Python, C++, SQL
• Understanding of automotive software development processes and practices and safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, SOTIF) is beneficial
• Familiarity with multi‑task learning, sensor fusion, or end‑to‑end AI systems is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams
• Very good communication skills in English. German is a plus
