Job Description:

Our department develops top-notch, high-fidelity engineering and training simulations for a variety of aircraft, supporting the entire development lifecycle.

We are looking for a tech lead for control stations of our simulators. These stations are used for simulation control, monitoring, instructing, and debriefing training sessions. You will define and implement the fundamental software architecture and mentor a team of software engineers, providing guidance and hands-on training to ensure successful development across all products.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Own the Qt/QML-based frontend architecture, ensuring modularity, performance, and responsiveness
  • Translate requirements into technical roadmaps, break down tasks, and track milestones
  • Develop user-centric, high-performance UIs with Qt/QML, aligning design with usability and architecture
  • Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices
  • Review code, identify improvements, and ensure quality
  • Collaborate with DevOps for smooth build, test, and deployment pipelines
  • Mentor and train junior engineers in technology and architecture
  • Research and evaluate new UI technologies to improve development environment

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • 5-8 years of experience in frontend/UI software development
  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable software architectures
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Qt, especially QtQuick and QML
  • Leadership experience in a development team, task prioritization, and complexity management
  • Excellent communication skills for mentoring and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with DevOps pipelines, containerization, and modern development methodologies
  • Passion for writing clean, maintainable code
