To lead one of our engineering teams on the Agent Platform at the Hamburg headquarters, we are looking for you as a full-time (40 hours) Lead Engineer (f/m/d)* Backend - Java with immediate effect. As Lead Engineer (f/m/d)* Backend, you will guide and inspire a talented engineering team, shape the technical vision of our platform, and contribute directly to delivering value to our customers.

Tasks that let you grow
  • As Lead Engineer (f/m/d)* Backend, you will take over the strategic, technical and disciplinary responsibility for one engineering team on our Agent Platform.
  • You will define and align technical goals for your team, while setting clear, measurable objectives to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.
  • Your responsibility is to lead and steer the full DevOps lifecycle of our user-centric products - starting from architecture, design and development to deployment as well as operation and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organization, including Product Management and Design, other teams and the C-Level, to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to your engineers, supporting their professional growth and helping them reach their full potential.
Your skills, that inspire us
  • You bring several years of experience in a Lead Software Engineering role with a focus on Backend Engineering in an agile environment.
  • Strong experience in modern technology stacks with high complexity and scale and in developing distributed systems with high demands on performance and reliability.
  • Expert knowledge in Java and Spring Boot, deep understanding of relational database design principles & knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Deep understanding of modern cloud-based backend architectures and technologies (GCP preferred).
  • More than just management, you are passionate about developing people and helping them reach their full potential.
  • You have excellent communication skills inEnglish, German is a plus.
