Mission Brief

In this role, you will apply strong interdisciplinary knowledge across all major launch system domains—propulsion, structures, fluid systems, GNC, avionics, and ground systems—while demonstrating expertise in at least one of these disciplines. You will play a key role in requirements and verification management for our Spectrum launch vehicle and future developments, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with program objectives.

Your Role in Our Space Mission
  • Support the Spectrum Product Office and Chief Engineer in architectural design activities for current and future launch vehicle versions.
  • Define, break down, and maintain system and subsystem requirements, ensuring proper implementation and status tracking.
  • Define test objectives and develop test campaigns to verify compliance with requirements.
  • Track verification progress and maintain alignment with program milestones.
  • Monitor roadmap execution and identify development status across subsystems.
  • Maintain and update the Product Breakdown Structure for the launch system.
  • Ensure technical interfaces between subsystems and departments are well-defined and aligned.
  • Track and manage the technical budgets (mass, performance, and other key parameters) to ensure compliance with mission requirements.
  • Contribute to requirement and verification tracking processes, including reporting and documentation.
Qualification Checklist
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aerospace or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of complex engineering systems and launch vehicle architecture. Interdisciplinary knowledge of propulsion, structures, fluid systems, GNC, avionics, and ground systems.
  • Expertise in at least one discipline: propulsion, structures, fluid systems, GNC, avionics, or ground systems.
  • Familiarity with requirements management and verification processes.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
  • Experience in Python.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus).
Bonus Skills
  • Experience in model‑based systems engineering and multi‑disciplinary optimization principles
  • Experience with Matlab and Simulink
