A global technology firm in Berlin is seeking a Service Owner to lead the Digital Workplace area. In this role, you will be responsible for service quality improvement, managing external service providers, and ensuring seamless service delivery. Ideal candidates will have experience in service management, a university degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, and excellent communication skills in both German and English. In the role of Service Owner, you take on central responsibility for the quality and further development of global IT services in the Digital Workplace area. The services currently assigned to your future responsibility include Virtualization (Citrix), Telephony (Teams), Copilot (Chat/M365) and Domain Management, although there is flexibility – let’s shape it together!
The position can also be filled remotely within Germany.
You take end-to-end responsibility for several services in the Digital Workplace area
You define and measure service quality using clear KPIs (e.g., availability, user satisfaction, security requirements) and derive targeted improvement measures
You ensure stable and secure operations by effectively managing external service providers and clearly defining contractual and operational frameworks (e.g., SLAs, KPIs)
You make decisions regarding the target technical architecture of your services – in close alignment with architecture and security teams
You monitor and optimize service delivery costs, plan budgets, and shape global cost allocation models
You continuously observe market trends and technological developments to identify innovation and change potential at an early stage
You plan and coordinate transformation activities in your service area – both technical and organizational
You work closely with other IT Service Owners to clearly define interfaces and ensure seamless end-user experiences
You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
You bring several years of experience in the Digital Workplace environment, both from a technical and a service management perspective. Ideally, you have knowledge in Virtualization, Telephony, Microsoft Copilot, and Domain Management
You have experience in the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of global IT services, particularly in collaboration with IT service providers
You have solid knowledge of IT service management processes (e.g., ITIL), contract and provider management, as well as financial topics such as budgeting and cost control
You communicate clearly and effectively – in both German and English – and enjoy working in teams and with international stakeholders
