We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Head ofConcept Engineering - Pre-Sales Robotics Solutions (m/f/d) with the ambition to lead the team and provide the best technical support during sales conversations and help makeRobCo Europe’s leading company for automation solutions in the SMB sector.We have raised more than USD 50 million from the best venture capitalists in the world, including Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed, as well as from the founders of UiPath, Helsing, Pitch and other companies, to fulfil our mission.
AsHead of Concept Engineeringwithin our Pre-Sales organization, you will lead the pre-sales organization that sits at the frontline of RobCo’s growth and report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. Your team bridges customer challenges with RobCo’s modular robotics technology, transforming requirements into compelling automation concepts that win deals.
You will set the standard fortechnical and commercial excellence in solution design: making sure every concept is not only feasible and scalable, but also showcases clear business value and ROI for the customer. You will be the sparring partner to Sales leadership — challenging assumptions, sharpening solution narratives, and ensuring RobCo consistently presents best-in-class automation proposals.
This is a role for aseasoned automation leader— someone who combines strong industry experience with the instinct to know what works, what doesn’t, and what truly convinces a customer to move forward.
Lead & inspire – Build, mentor, and elevate a team of Concept Engineers working closely with Account Executives in high-stakes Pre-Sales cycles.
Challenge & sharpen– Review and critique automation concepts to ensure they are technically robust, commercially compelling, and customer-ready.
Shape methodology – Define playbooks, frameworks, and best practices for solution design within the Pre-Sales process.
Partner with Sales – Collaborate with Account Executives and leadership to position RobCo as the trusted advisor in automation projects.
Customer impact – Join strategic customer discussions, acting as the technical authority and business sparring partner in the buying process.
Drive win rate– Ensure proposals highlight ROI, feasibility, and competitive differentiation, directly impacting revenue success.
Feedback loop– Channel customer and market insights into RobCo’s product and solution strategy.
10+ years in industrial automation, robotics, or system integration — ideally in leadership roles such as Head of Engineering, Technical Director, or Managing Director at an integrator.
Deep understanding of automation technologies (robotics, conveyors, vision systems, grippers, linear axes, etc.) and industrial production processes.
Strong pre-sales mindset — ability to combine technical judgment with commercial storytelling.
Track record in guiding teams that translate complex customer needs into winning solution concepts.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both executive and technical audiences.
Professional fluency in English or German (both preferred).
